What Color Is It? GP02  This book has been designed with special needs children in mind, although beginning readers of any level can benefit from the positive experiences inside. Activities in the book have been created for children of varying ability levels.

Children learn to read their color words which are included in simple sentences. For example, the apple is red. The colors are also taught by association. For example, the "apple" is matched to the red square and the "red" square goes on the apple. This way a child hears the word "red" and "sees" the red apple in his head and can remember the colors more easily.

Extra or replacement velcro-backed 4-color picture cards can be purchased to replace lost or damaged cards and can be placed in AAC devices for communications or used to create new sentences and games.
