> "Jamberry" (for ages 4+) contains a happy verse of a boy and a bear celebrating finding berries - blueberries, strawberries, and raspberries. The rhyme and illustrations tease and delight the young children so much that after a few readings they are chanting and singing the poem.

> "The Carrot Seed" (for ages 4+) is a story about a little boy who planted a carrot seed, but no one in his family believed it would grow.

> "We are best Friends" (for ages 4+) is a story about Robert who is devastated by the news that Peter, his best friend, is moving away. Robert thinks he will never find another friend like Peter, and he hopes Peter will miss him too. Eventually after many days of longing, both boys find new friends.
