Sandbox Learning Success Storybooks - Feelings Collections #1 & #2  These are personalizable storybooks in which you can customize the illustrations to the child's appearance based on gender, hair style, hair color, skin color, eye color, glasses, and method of communication (words, sign language, picture exchange communication system, and augmentative communication device). You can also alter the text to personalize the story's content to truly address an individual's needs and help them connect with the topics. Build a special book together for a fun and creative activity or let a child know you care by creating a book just for them. These personalized and interactive books will also motivate reluctant readers and be helpful in working on sequencing and transitioning skills.

Feelings Collection #2 contains the following 6 books:

1. "Feeling Angry" is an 8 page book that discusses how to work through this emotion. It includes a page for what angers the child and an appropriate coping strategy.

2. "Feeling Frustrated" is a 14 page book that discusses coping strategies for a variety of frustrating situations such as trying new activities, completing work, and dealing with schedule changes. It includes an area for addressing preferred coping strategies and situations especially frustrating for the child.

3. "Feeling Anxious" is a 13 page book that discusses anxiousness including the physical characteristics, situations that cause anxiety, and strategies for coping with this emotion. It includes personalization for child-specific anxieties and appropriate coping strategies.

4. "Feeling Sad" is an 18 page book that discusses feeling sad and recognizing it in others. It shows appropriate responses for managing sadness.

5. "Feeling Scared" is a 15 page book that discusses appropriate reactions to scary situations such as loud noises, new places, nightmares, and unkind people. A page for child-specific fears and strategies is included.

6. "Feeling Happy" is a 13 page book that discusses feeling happy, identifying the emotions of others, and experiences that make people happy. It includes personalization for what specifically makes the child happy and how they show this emotion.

Purchase a card that gives you internet access to print the books ordered for 1 year with unlimited copies for an unlimited number of students. Your password gives you the capability to print the customizable books in color or in black and white to be used as a coloring book. Worksheets are also included for working on additional skills.

These books are excellent for all children, normally developing and those with special needs. The books are especially good for children diagnosed with autism and aspergers and other developmental delays as they are high in visual supports.
