Poetry Pals Portable Interactive Literacy Learning Center PPI101  This wonderful program assists in developing an array of skills while focusing on early literacy. The back of each board book highlights the book's character education theme and provides discussion questions and activities. The sturdy tree bookshelf organizer allows you to create a unique mini-library.

The "Learning Center" features 14 puzzle-shaped poem-story board books that fit into the tree unit but come in carrying cases for easy storage. These rhyming stories come to life with a gently animated 36 minute read-along video that is totally interactive with the tree. The set also includes a coloring book, nature shaped pop-out Puzzle, and an 8" Little Ben Hand Puppet.

This interactive reading center provides children with a fun and unique reading experience, developing and expanding their vocabulary as well as teaching organization, responsibility, visual matching and shape identification skills.

When a child takes a book off of the tree, it leaves an image of the main character in the slot, so that the child knows where to place the book back on the tree. Each of the books are a different shape and only fits its corresponding slot, making the tree a big puzzle.

When each book is introduced on the video, it glows and gently tumbles from the tree, which signals the child to remove that particular book from the tree. The words are highlighted as they are read and the rhyming word glows a different color. The pages turn visually, signaling the child when to turn each page. After reading the book, it then visually tumbles back to the tree, which again signals the child to return their book where it belongs.
