Following are some skills that you can teach with this card ring set:
1. Responding appropriately
2. Appropriate reactions
3. Social skills
4. Small talk
Suggested Method of Teaching:
Select a few cards and show them to your student. Ask the student "What is happening?" or "Describe the picture." If the student doesn't know, describe the card and come back to it a minute later to ensure the student remembers. Once this step is mastered, begin teaching "What should I Say?" As an example, you could say to your student "Look, she's getting a gift. What could she say?" Make sure you teach one phrase at a time. To ensure comprehension, reverse the questions. Do this by laying a few cards on the table while asking a question, for example "When would the boy say "Look over there!" and when would the girl say "It's your turn?" Teach fluency by flipping through the cards at a faster rate.
