This set includes 5 interactive big books with instructional suggestions, cover plates, lyric pages, song pieces, Velcro strips, and binder rings. The set is all-inclusive for quick assembly of the 11" X 17" BigBooks. Simply bind the heavy-stock pages together (we recommend laminating for durability) with rings, cut out the full-color interactive song pieces, attach with Velcro and you're ready for phonological practice.

The books in this set focus on developing:

> Early literacy skills
> Rhyme awareness

This first set of 5 phonology books includes:

"Five Small Snakes" which targets:
>Word-initial /sn/and /sm/
>Pronouns
>Numeral recognition to "5"
>Basic quality and quantity concepts

"We're Having Fun Today!" which targets:
>Word-final /ts/ and /ps/
>Regular plurals
>Basic spatial concepts

"Come to the Woods!" which targets:
>Word-final /ks/
>Regular plurals
>Basic spatial concepts

"Five Green, Speedy Frogs" which targets:
>Word-initial /sp/ and /st/
>Counting to 5
>Regular/Irregular past tense verbs

"Ten Small Skunks" which targets:
>Word-initial /sk/ and combinations of /s/ clusters
>Action verbs
>Counting to 10
>Basic quality, quantity, and spatial concepts

These books are compatible with Hodson's cycles approach to phonological remediation or with a traditional remediation approach. All lyrics include target words for production practice and additional words for auditory bombardment.
