  Bright & Beyond - Preschool Series 4 Title Set BB400 (CLON) #346
Bright & Beyond - Preschool Series 4 Title Set BB400 (CLON)  Bright & Beyond activities help children to explore and learn about themselves and their environment throught play. Speech Therapists who work with children with special needs, such as language and speech impairments, autism, cerebral palsy, and Down's syndrome, have expressed that the variety and adaptability of included activities have been particularly beneficial for these children.

Bright and Beyond activities are multi-sensory, interactive, and highly adaptive to the child's abilities - aspects that set the stage for learning, social growth, and a sense of achievement. Allowing a flexible definition of success helps avoid the frustrations that can aggravate a child's sense of social isolation.

It's a given that all children love to play, especially with a loving parent or caregiver; setting overachieving goals in play is not necessary. A child's natural curiosity and exploration during these activities will help create the building blocks for adaptive development in all area of his or her life.

Each title of "Smart & Simple" activities in this set contains 52 quick and creative idea cards. Illustrating learning ideas on cards mean short, simple instructions, easy sorting, and quick visual cues to understand the activity.

Playful learning is learning that lasts. Leave your card decks out where you can see them. When kids are restless, look through some of the cards. The illustrations alone should get you off and running on a fun activity.

Also look through your "Bright & Beyond" card decks the night before and pull out the activities you are interested in doing the next day. Gather up any materials you will need so you'll be ready to go.

For two-year-olds and up, try letting a child look through the illustrations from one deck and select the activity card that she/he wants to try. You can help by describing a little bit about what is going on in the illustration.
