Action! GP05  This book has been designed with special needs children in mind, although beginning readers of any level can benefit from the positive experiences inside. Activities in the book have been created for children of varying ability levels.

Sentences in this book use action verbs and pronouns while posing and then answering who, what, and where questions. For example, where can she swim? Answer: She can swim in the pool. Ask additional questions to expand the concept being presented. For example, in the sentence "I can hide in the tunnel", ask the child to tell you some of the other places you might hide. In the sentence, "He can throw the bean bags", ask the child, "What else can you throw?"

Extra or replacement velcro-backed 4-color picture cards can be purchased to replace lost or damaged cards and can be placed in AAC devices for communications or used to create new sentences and games.
