Lavelle Carlson
Speech-Language Pathologist
Lavelle Carlson is a speech-language pathologist. She received her undergraduate degree in speech-language pathology from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, and her master’s degree in speech-language pathology from the University of Tulsa in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Her main interests have been working with children diagnosed with dyslexia and children diagnosed with autism. She is President of Children’s Publishing, publisher and reseller of early intervention materials. She is a member of the Texas Speech-Language-Hearing Association and President of the Austin Area Speech-Language Pathologists. She is also a Professional Master Registered Level Trainer for Headstarts through the Texas Early Care and Education Career Development System (TECECDS). She enjoys living in the Hill Country of Central Texas.
She has written several children’s books, Can a Toucan Hoot Too?, The Fable of Mable with the Ladle at the Table, Rocks in My Socks and Rainbows Too, The Frog Who Could Not Croak and Eek! I Hear a Squeak and the Scurrying of Little Feet (with interactive CD-ROM).
